Original Production Background Cel from Simpsons Season 9 Episode 20, Trouble With Trillions (aired April 5, 1998). In this episode Homer is coerced by the Feds to take back a Trillion Dollar bill from Mr. The episode is notable for introducing the concept of a trillion dollar bill a decade before they were actually used in Zimbabwe. Background contains a billboard of Duff Beer. The Duff Beer logo appears almost exclusively on backgrounds (as opposed to motion cels) and are extremely difficult to find. Simpons art with the Duff Logo are also highly sought after by collectors. This cel is part of Fox’s Collector’s Portfolio, which consists of the very best pieces of Simpson’s art. Very few of these pieces (under 10%) come with matching drawings. Disney bought out Fox a couple years ago, and Disney policy is to sell just limited editions, sericels, and other non-production art. Since the Disney takeover, the amount of new pieces released by the studio has dropped to just a trickle. This episode can be seen on Disney+ (s09e20 at 16:54).
